Creating a comfortable stress free environment is paramount to ensure a pleasant dental experience for you, even more so for your child.

The first dental appointment is a very important milestone in establishing the trust and confidence between your child and health professionals.  The initial experience can greatly influence your child’s attitude towards future dental visits and beyond into adulthood.

We suggest a dental visit once teeth emerge and at the very latest by the age of two. We encourage you to bring along your child when either you or an older sibling is attending a simple non-invasive dental appointment. This will help your child to familiarize themselves with the dentist and surgery

This is far easier and psychologically less negative than if their initial visit is as an emergency appointment, where your child can be frightened, in pain and understandably uncooperative.

The wellbeing and comfort of your child will always be of upmost importance. General anaesthesia may be discussed should this be of benefit to your child physically, emotionally and psychologically.

We will assess, show and discuss with you all aspects of your child’s oral health.
